Last week I enjoyed a delicious slice of vegan lemon coconut cheesecake at Gillies in Blacksburg, Virginia while visiting my son at Virginia Tech.  The desert was a great way to finish off a delicious dinner … I had the Tofu Gado Gado.

I go to Blacksburg to visit my college student but I always make it a point to dine at Gillies while I’m there.  The food is delicious, the servers are kind and the chef’s are talented.

Gobble Cakes Bakery just opened up next door if you’re in the mood for cupcakes but I don’t think they have any vegan options (yet).  Gobble cakes sits in between Greens Vegetarian Restaurant and Gillies offering vegetarians two great options in Blacksburg.

Another desert option is the Frosty Parrot where I’ll go for the Pink Lemonade Sorbet.
